How to care for your candle

Every candle is handmade and unique. Small imperfections are part of its essence and authenticity.

• The first time, light it for between 1 and 2 hours, until a pool of melted wax covers the whole surface. This helps avoid tunnelling. Each time after that, ideally leave it lit long enough for the whole surface to melt.
• Trim the wick to 5 mm before each use and put it back in the centre when you put it out.
• Soy candles are alive: sometimes the wax pulls away a little from the glass, white marks appear or it cracks. It isn't a flaw and it doesn't change how it burns. Keep it out of the sun and, to smooth it, use a hairdryer from a distance.
• Don't burn it for more than 2 hours at a time. Place it on a stable, heat-resistant surface, away from flammable materials, children and animals, and never leave it unattended.
